Let’s take a step back and look at the ‘why’ behind the craft: At the end of the day, what is the point of what we do as [wedding] photographers & videographers? The whole reason we started capturing weddings & portraits in the first place? I’ll give you a beat to remember your own personal ‘why’ before revealing my own, because it can be quite recentering to reflect your own.
My Why: I believe every couple & client deserves artful, thoughtfully crafted imagery of their most important moments. It's taken since 2011 to pinpoint exactly why I love this work so much - all I knew was that I had a God-given passion for this art, access to a camera, and with these tools, I was going to serve my clients to the absolute best of my abilities.
The same feeling of honor fills me today that I had over a decade ago: these couples, families, and businesses are trusting me with their vision and story. Full trust. How amazing (and yes, a little intimidating) is that? I can't wait to get just as excited about your wedding as I have the last 1000+.
